Tampoi Research Station

The Tampoi Research Station, which is located 5km away from the Imbak Canyon Studies Centre, previously was the main station for travellers who wanted to explore Imbak Canyon, which acts as the natural corridor that connects two other nature wonders, Maliau Basin and Danum Valley. All three are Class 1 Forest Reserves in the state.

Frequent sightings of wild animals such as Borneo pygmy elephants, orang-utan, Proboscis monkeys and the clouded leopards are seen here.
